Updated on November 17, 2014

My Headache Pain is Gone

By Dale Ovenstone

'Help me find a cure for my headache please, my head is thumping.'

'I got a major migraine, my brain is pounding pass those painkillers.'

Or even, 'sorry honey not tonight I got a headache.'

How many times have you experienced painful headaches or migraines for yourself, or have heard phrases like those above, before?

Tension grips like an iron collar, there's no doubt about it. At least, if not most blockages; nervous and muscular tension is a major contributor to many headaches and migraine.

Acupressure, relaxation, trigger point pressure and self administered manipulation is what is required to ease that pain and tension, and get the flow flowing naturally.

Try these techniques for yourself at home or where ever you are. Say goodbye to nasty painkilling drugs and pharmaceuticals.

Stressful tension on the nervous system at particular points of the body, create painful headaches or migraine. Maybe a knotted, tightened muscle, or even groups of muscle effecting nerve ends, and natural flow of life, especially around the eyes, face, head, shoulders and neck, require releasing through relaxation.

Relaxation, acupressure and massaging specific trigger points could stop your headache or migraine quickly or over a short period of time.

I want to show you an easy effective technique I use on myself and others, with great success. I call this 'the easy quick most effective headache buster.' And I have outlined it below.

(If you are a recurring headache or migraine sufferer, or you would like to know more areas of the body that can be self manipulated to ease or cure headaches or migraine. I have placed a short and enlightening video at the bottom of the page.)

Welcome back, glad you made it...

Step 1: What is required for a successful headache/migraine release is to lie down comfortably, and rest head on a pillow.

Totally become aware of, and gradually take all weight off each muscle, individually, interweaving the face, neck and head (consciously pay attention to relaxing your entire head and your face, the rest of the body will follow) all whilst you are concentrating on relaxing; paying attention to muscles surrounding the eyes . Allow the soothing melting effects to take place.

When your head and face is so relaxed, and it has no weight...

Concentrate on relaxing your neck, shoulders, arms, back and chest (basically, relax the entire top half of body.)

Allow any tension to dissolve. Ease your breathing (as if you are about to fall asleep.) Spend a little time doing this if you can. Once your muscles are totally relaxed, and you feel the sensation of no body-weight, you are on your way to curing, fixing, stopping, or what ever you want to call it, getting rid of your headache or migraine.

As you have a headache, you may become aware; the constant thumping or pounding of pressure inside your head (this is quite normal, and further diversion of awareness is required. (Mental diversion becomes simpler, or easier, the more times practised, as you are honing this skill, or practising.))

Concentrate on painful tension present, melting, dissolving away whilst relaxing. Let any thumping or pounding in the background do its thing. Just ignore it, it will dull.

(To practice a diversion of awareness is an essential skill of life, a mental diversion technique (a specific kind of awareness which we all possess) is suited to controlling the pain in the body; instead of pain being the controlling dominator of the body.))

If you are attempting to cure someone else’s headache, talk them through the process of relaxation, whilst they are lying down.

Feel your voice as soothing, slow, calm. Talk to the sufferer with conviction and a confident mindset. You know it works!

Step 2: Become completely relaxed physically (when attempting headache self release, lay on your side and rest your hand near the back of your neck, so it feels comfortable and your arm is relaxed, but slightly movable too.)

Reach over towards the very base of your skull (where your neck disappears into your head) so your fingers come into contact right there.

Rest your arm so it feels comfortable, and relax.

Next, use your finger(s) to follow your skull bone right down to where your spine meets (feel the dip in your neck.) Push your finger(s) in and apply pressure, hold. Release and gently massage the area for a few minutes (consciously relaxing all over.)

Well, that's all there is.

I hope you feel better?
